Equatorial Guinea is one of the least visited countries in the world; an unspoilt nation of virgin rainforest, white sand beaches and an incredible diversity of plant and animal life. Until recently, the country has been a mystery to outsiders, who were discouraged from entering by a difficult visa process and a lack of tourism infrastructure. However, things are changing fast. Equatorial Guinea is growing rapidly, with an excellent road network and numerous hotels springing up seemingly overnight. There is now an understanding that tourism will play an important part in this growth.
In January 2019 the first Equatorial Guinea Bodypainting Festival was launched, to show how a small seed born of passion, ends up becoming a movement that inspires people to discover their talents. In less than 2 months since its launch, this festival has reached more than 60,000 people around the world, being the center of attention of reporters and bloggers who have felt identified with the cause.
Ruta47 aims to combine the spectacular nature of Bioko Island with the magic of Bodypainting, offering a package that combines both things next January of 2020.
